Buddha Sky Bar - Delray

The Sisters are glad to be back and doing our 'thing'.  This weeks' happy time was at the Buddha Sky Bar. Up to the third floor and you enter a small dining room filled with light. The view from the many windows may not equal the New York skyline, but it's a nice change from the standard dim or dark dining.  And, lucky us, 'Happy Hour' was still on, making most of the menu half price.

We ordered four different 'plates', tapas-style, which are served when done, rather than in order. This only enhanced the experience, adding another surprise to the meal.  Ordered last, but first to arrive was the Wagyu Beef Skewers w/Argentinean & Japanese Chimicurri cooked as ordered, tender and tasty; the 'starter' of Korean Barbecue Ribs was next, but not as 'hot' as you might think or want. Next, the 'star' of the evening, a Predator Roll, was outstanding. Tempura shrimp drizzled in exceptional sauces.  Sushi at it's best.  Last and least, Baby Lamp Chops on a bed of greens, too well done, with a cucumber spread done Greek-style.

The room is small, so a bit noisy, crowded even at 6:30 (reservations a good idea) and not the most comfortable seating for the 'shortys' among us, but all in all a great place.

The Last Word:  is dessert, a plate of peanut butter filled fried wonton served with raspberry dipping sauce and a side of green tea ice cream.  That's what I call a 'happy ending'.
