It's been around since 1975, and under new management now. Large but cozy, with lots of dining 'spaces', and a bar that was in full swing even at 6:00 pm. That's the good news.
The Sisters chose the "Anniversary Special", but there was nothing 'special' about it. A three course dinner for $30.00 seems like a good deal in a steakhouse, right? Wrong! The Salad Bar (course 'one') hasn't changed since the 70's, but it was fresh. Next up were two entrees of Prime Rib, the only 'beef' choice with the 'special', which also included a potato (both Sisters had sweet). Ordered as 'very rare' and a 'medium', both were delivered as 'medium', with the explanation that it was the best they could do. Not that it mattered much. The outside was nicely flavored with a garlic salt kind of thing, but both were very tough and dry. Any local 'Ale House' does a better job for under $15.00.
Thirty Dollars in not a cheap dinner; maybe the regular menu is a better value?
The Last Word: included in the price, a choice of two desserts; Melba Sorbet and Cheesecake. We ordered one of each and left both after two bites.
